Wp Wordpress

I’m on os X.5. My laptop came back from the mac doctor with a new admin account and password. i changed it back to my usual one and clicked on the padlock before i realised that it had changed the account status to ’standard’. in System Preferences/Accounts, i can see NO ADMINSITRATOR. and i can’t do anything that requires an administrator - including clean install.
Help please!! i feel a complete idiot.
