Anyone here write for Nocturne Bites?

I’m planning to write a story for Nocturne Bites and was wondering if anyone knew what the editors are looking for at the moment. (Wondering if vampires are still popular or becoming over-used. Maybe I should go for a less common type of paranormal character.) I’d love some advice.
