(this is specifically about Max 5 jitter)
alright i am just going to try my hardest to be clear and understandable (i appreciate it in advance… )
i have been putting together a live media project which i want to be finished with before the end of the semester (6 weeks and counting), and so i’ve been learning the basics about open gl, well, trying to anyway, and right now i am trying out the different rendering destinations. that chapter of the tutorial makes sense to me, but i am having trouble with the render to a matrix. what i would like to do is use the opengl with a jit.qt.grab. at first i was going to make a texture on the opengl using the live grab, but i’m not sure how to do that because the opengl that i am using is basically everything from the example patch called "plur", [...]

a recent edit i made tonight using original visuals.
only worked on this for about 3 hours.
i need to start applying more time to the editing side of things.

there’s a number of times where some visuals show within the frame because they were not resized .. i let that be the case for now to avoid extra-long render time.

Hi all – have been let down last minute and left cradleless for a projector i need to fly this Saturday in Brighton, UK.
Decent cradles that fit lighting rigs don’t seem easy to find – does anyone have any leads as to where i can start looking? Either Hire companies or a friendly local VJ who might have something up their sleeve? must fit this projector:

I know there must be a workaround, to this. But I cant seem to get the full range of avi codecs to show up, where they used to in the previous versions.
I tried to disable "no re-compress rendering", but nothing changes.
It seems that I can only select default configurations, like there is some wizardry going on.
Any ideas?

Hi,
yesterday I tried to make some audio visualization not by midi, but by frequency analysis.
I used the spectrum of the Audio Input and made some parameters variations of a shape.
Then, the problem is that the spectrum give so many values, and they are not stable at all, they change so fast that the shape looks like "nervous".
Also if you download of the many tutorials of how to make a sound spectrum, or frequency analysis, you can see that the bars are never really still, i mean they continue to move also if you send the auido by line in. Thats cause the spectrum gives so many values and they change so fast.
Someone know how to fix that?

What is the best codec and format to use in arkoas grand vj?
Is it photo-jpeg? because this codec/format give’s a big size video.
when i use mpeg 4 its much smaller,
in the tutorials from arkoas grand vj they say it best to use photo jpeg.
Is it a problem for arkaos when you use 640+480 size and 768+576 size videoimages in the same edit?
I am just starting to use grand vj, the programm did crash a few times, so i am trying to find out what the problem could be. BTW i am working on a macbook pro intel.

This weekends gig is in an aircraft hangar using 6 screens dotted around the walls.
See how lost that 14 x 10 looks in the space!
Each projector is to be wired back to a centrally located video matrix switcher.
As you can imagine the wiring job is gonna be fun & this is my first vj gig using Cat 5 & baluns.
I’ve picked up a cool 4 channel composite balun pair which works pretty well up to 400m, which will be a good start to getting a feed from control point to the furthest projectors.
Unfortunately mains power will have to be run alongside the Cat 5 in cable trays for some portions of the runs.
My question is are Cat 5 systems affected by mains power running alongside the cable, does cable quality affect the problem dramatically?

So its come to the time of year when we’re starting to look for vj’s for this years festival
Festinho is a boutique charity festival which started off 5 years ago as a garden party to raise money for the abc trust (action for brazilian children) and has grown into a festival in its own right.
We’ve changed location this year and will be at Hinwick House in northamptonshire over the august bank holiday weekend.
The whole festival is there to raise money for charity and last year we made 25k which went directly to the charity.
